Have you ever found yourself saying these words in response to the question ‘Can you sing?’
I Can’t Sing
I Only Sing in the Shower
I Sing in the Car where no-one can hear me My Cousin, Aunt, Dad, Sister said I should NEVER sing
I used to sing but don’t have time anymore
I Love to Sing but don’t know where to find other people
I’m not sure if I can sing but I’d love to start
Whether you’re convinced that you have no voice and can’t sing, based on something someone said, many moons ago, or if you’ve decided that music is not a priority but you feel like singing again? Everyone’s A Singer was created for you!
Everyone’s A Singer was founded to cater to the growing need for creative expression in our world. While more people search for meaning and purpose and desire to tap into their creative side, a side of themselves that doesn’t get a chance to be expressed.
If you’re reading this, you’re a creative being and your creative energy is asking you to take some sort of action. Maybe your creative outlet is Singing, maybe it’s Art, Writing, Poetry, Photography, Cooking or something else. Your creativity is ignited the moment you transform your vision into something tangible.
Everyone’s A Singer! I know that some of you are reading this and saying ‘No, everyone can’t sing, I know this person who is tone-deaf’
‘that’s not true, I’m tone-deaf and can’t sing!” well, you might be, but the chances are very slim – it is estimated that just 2-5% of the world’s population are tone-deaf, the technical term is Amusia, a clinical cognitive impairment which means the brain cannot process musical sounds properly to make sense of them.
Most people who believe they are tone-deaf and struggle to sing will find that their poor singing is usually due to a lack of music training and/or a lack of confidence. I have also found through one-to-one Voice coaching that many people who feel like they can’t sing have subconscious beliefs running, luckily these beliefs can be changed and we are committed to getting as many of you enjoying singing and loving your voice!
Through Everyone’s A Singer, we know that with practice and training, most people can sing. We see the health and Wellness benefits of singing as essential to creating a Joyful life are more important than and ideas you may have about not being able to sing!
This is why we offer a range of opportunities for the community to Sing with us either via our Choirs, provide folk song studies to develop an understanding of the history and science of songs as well as Voice Awakening sessions to help you unlock your voice.
